Where are you located?
Our office is located in the white and green BC Mills heritage house at 780 Quayside Drive on the New Westminster waterfront, right by the Begbie Street Level crossing and next to the Fraser River Discovery Center.
Where is your dock?
Our dock is located right in front of the Inn at the Quay hotel, 900 Quayside Drive, about 200 metres west along the
boardwalk from our office near to the River Market and right next to the Samson V sternwheeler museum ship.
Is there parking available?
- The parking lot located right in front of the Inn at the Quay near to our dock has been closed for construction.
- Drop-offs for persons with mobility issues can still be done in the fire lane in front of the Paddlewheeler Pub between the River Market and the Inn at the Quay.
- Parking is still available at the Advance Parking Lot 9056 “New West Quay Parking“ near our office by the Begbie Street level Crossing. The cost is $1.25 per hour, $6.25 all day or $3.25 for evenings.
- The elevated Front Street Parkade near our office is $1.25/hour or $7.00 all day.
- Underground parking is available at the Plaza 88 under the Safeway/New Westminster Skytrain Station. Cost is $2 per hour or $8 for 10 hours.

Can I hold a reservation now and pay for it the day of my cruise?
We do require full payment at the time of booking/reservation. If you have a large group booking into a regular cruise or a charter, you can reserve with a deposit and the balance payable four weeks from sailing.
What are your business hours?
Summer season hours: May 1st through September 30th: 7 days a week, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Off -season hours: (October through April) – Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
What payment options do I have?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Debit and cash. Charters or group bookings can be paid by cheque.
What is Paddlewheeler Riverboat Tours cancellation and refund policy?
Paddlewheeler Riverboat Tours reserves the right to cancel trip(s) if a minimum of 20 paid reservations is not met by cruise date. Schedule and fares are subject to change without notice. To confirm a reservation full fare must be paid at the time of booking.
If you cancel 72 hours or more before departure you can reschedule for a similar cruise if the new date selected is within 60 days, or receive a refund less a 15% service charge. No refunds or rescheduling can be done on cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to departure. Charter or group booking deposits are fully refundable up to four weeks (28 days) prior to sailing date.
Where and when do I pick up my tickets?
Your tickets and receipts will be waiting for you on board the vessel when you arrive, or if you wish, you can pick them up in advance at our office at 780 Quayside Drive, New Westminster.
Is there access from Skytrain?
The New Westminster Skytrain Station at Plaza 88 near Eighth and Columbia is just a short walk and over the pedestrian overpass from our dock. We heartily recommend taking the train if you can- it’s so convenient to our dock, especially now that the parking lot closest to the dock has been closed.
Are your boats wheelchair accessible?
We have a great deal of experience in helping people with mobility issues, walkers and even folding wheelchairs in some cases, onto and off of our boats, but there is a dock ramp and two steps to be negotiated to get on board. Unfortunately due to space constraints we do not have wheel-chair accessible washrooms.

What is your smoking policy?
The Native is a non-smoking vessel except on Friday Pub Nite cruises where we permit smoking on one section of the starboard side away from the tables. Charter customers may arrange for the aft deck to be declared a smoking-permitted zone or may have a non-smoking boat as desired. Smoking on the Beta Star catamaran is permitted on the aft outside main deck only.
Are you running cruises all year long or just in the summer?
Our regular season runs from beginning of May to end of September, but some cruises, like our Friday Pub Nights, run all year round. In the “off season” we run special event trips like Fort Langley Cruises on statutory holidays, plus our famous Halloween Dance-party Cruise, our busy Holiday Season schedule of cruises (Carol Cruises, Christmas Dinner and Luncheon, Boxing Week Luncheon Cruise), our fabulous New Year’s Eve Party cruise, romantic Valentine’s Day Dinner cruise, and our hilariously fun St Patrick’s Day cruise, to name a few. Plus, remember we will happily run any of our regular cruises at any time for a group of twenty or more (30 or more for Fort Langley/Steveston) and make additional tickets available, so check our website or call our office to see if we have anything available due to a group booking, or of course, if you have a group booking you want to make. We love any excuse to get out on the water!

What if we are blocked by a train?
Our office is located near the Begbie Street Level Crossing at the eastern end of Quayside Drive on the New Westminster waterfront, while our dock is located to the west along Quayside Drive right in front of the Inn at the Quay Hotel. Unfortunately, sometimes there is a train blocking the Begbie Street crossing. Luckily there are other options! Foot traffic can get across at the pedestrian overpass right by the River Market, while vehicle traffic can cross on the McInnes Street Overpass at the west end of Plaza 88. You access this off of Carnarvon Street or by turning north off Columbia Street at 10th Street and then turning onto Carnarvon at the traffic roundabout and right onto the overpass. The overpass takes you onto Quayside Drive west of the Inn at the Quay Hotel. You could drop off your passengers in the Fire Lane between the Inn at the Quay Hotel and the River Market, which is near our dock, and then continue east to park in the New Westminster Quay Public Parking “East Lot” (Advance Parking Lot 9056) near our office. There is also an overpass off of Stewardson Way at 3rd Avenue about a kilometer west of us, at the westernmost end of Quayside Drive.
